Golden Eagle launches 2026 itinerary
Golden Eagle Luxury Trains has added new routes as part of its 2026 programme of all-inclusive itineraries.
The new routes are:
- Two new trains in Asia: Golden Eagle will return to China after seven years on Golden Eagle Silk Road Express and will combine with the Vietnam Express across Vietnam from April 2026.
- A new nine-day tour through Turkey, including Cappadocia, in September.
Other highlights include:
- Four more departures have been added to the Paris-Istanbul route, which launched this year.
- The Festive Collection returns and will include a New Year in Vienna tour
- New Cruise & Rail packages in partnership with Uniworld Boutique River Cruises
The packages include private ensuite rail accommodation, all meals and drinks, personal cabin attendant service, fully guided land excursions, all gratuities and transfers and premium hotels.
Night trains to Lapland
Finland’s national rail company VR Group is launching a new night train to Lapland with departures from the end of this year until March 2026.
The long-distance trains feature nine sleeper cars and eight coaches. The interior of the sleeper cabins has been modified to make working and dining in the cabins more comfortable. Some of the private cabins will also include a shower.
The trains will travel between Helsinki, Turku and Tampere to Oulu, Rovaniemi, Kemijärvi and Kolari in Lapland.
