Orient Express launches new route
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is launching a new route in 2026 from Paris to the Amalfi Coast.
Departing May 4, the new three-night itinerary will travel from Paris to Ravello on the Amalfi Coast, with a stop in Pompeii. Guests will spend one night on the train and two nights at Caruso.
The itinerary includes:
- Guided tour of Pompeii’s archaeological site
- Culinary class
- Optional private boat tour to Positano
- Art workshop on Caruso’s Loggia terrace
- Gala dinner in Caruso’s Wagner Gardens
- 24-hour steward service
- All onboard meals with sommelier wine pairings
SWISS and SBB expand rail collaboration
SWISS International Air Lines and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are expanding their SWISS Air Rail collaboration to offer three new rail routes to and from Zurich Airport.
From October 27, the SBB will offer SWISS passengers train services between Zurich Airport and St. Gallen, Locarno and Konstanz.
“With our new SWISS Air Rail destinations, we’re building even more bridges between our wide range of international air services and the key business, industry and cultural regions around our Swiss airport hubs,” says SWISS CCO, Heike Birlenbach.
“St. Gallen as a centre of business, industry and further education, Locarno with its international film festival as a top tourist destination and Konstanz as the gateway to the Lake Constance region are all excellent additions to our SWISS route network.”
