Of the more than 600 business travellers surveyed,94%said they wanted flight statuses sent to their phones, 63% wanted to be notified about seat upgrade availability and 70% wanted a flight boarding notification.

Many business travellers said airport and in-flight Wi-Fi were unreliable and wanted better service. They also said they would use mobile boarding passes if they were available.
FlightView, ceo,Mike Benjamin, said: “Business travellers, pressed for time, want access to new tools and technologies that make travelling easier and more efficient.”

Those surveyed said incorrect flight information was a big problem and wanted accurate information on delayed and cancelled flights sent to their phones.  Benjamin said airports and airlines needed to provide their passengers with more accurate real-time updates.

Almost 70% of business travellers wanted to be able to rebook on other flights using mobile apps and 57% wanted to view airport maps and standby status on their mobiles.  When catching a connecting flight, travellers wanted information on their next gate number and directions through the airport.
