TRAVELSTART, online
travel booking portal,
has secured $40m
(R650m) in funding from
MTN and global technology
investors Amadeus Capital
Partners. The investment will
be used to accelerate the
company’s growth into new
markets.

tour de force in emerging
markets and with this new
round of funding, Travelstart
will be able to fast-track its
already rapid growth,” says

Partners.
Andrea will join Travelstart’s
board of directors as part of
the financing.
Stephan Ekbergh, ceo of
Travelstart, says the capital
gives the company additional
resources to expand quickly
and strategically into new
markets, innovate, and
deliver its services in more
countries.
