Trevi Fountain introduces entrance fee

From February 1, visitors to Rome’s Trevi Fountain will have to pay a €2 (R38) admission fee between 09h00 and 22h00 every day to access the basin of the fountain.

Tickets can be purchased at 10 SmartPOS stations at the entrance, online, at the Sistema Musei ticket offices, at Tourist information points and at affiliated sales points.

Rome will also introduce fees for five museums and monuments that previously offered free access – Museo Carlo Bilotti, Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, Museo Pietro Canonica, Museo Napoleonico and Villa di Massenzio.
