United Airlines has become the first US airline to support the new notification app, Live Activities for iPhone, which helps customers to stay informed in real time.
it gives travellers real-time access to their boarding pass, gate and seat number, countdown clock to departure time, and more, both on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, without the need to open the United Airlines app.
By just glancing at their phone screens, travellers can now:

Get details, including flight number, on-time status, inbound aircraft status, and estimated departure and arrival times in the live activity on the Lock Screen or the Dynamic Island.

Open their boarding pass directly from the live activity for easy scanning during security check-in or while boarding their flight.

See departure and arrival gates, pre- and in-flight countdowns, as well as baggage carousel information in the Dynamic Island.
To use the app, travellers’ iPhones should be running iOS 16.1 or newer and their United app needs to be up to date.
