Vic Falls lodge unveils plans for star beds

Wild Horizons is expanding its offering with the addition of star beds to three luxury suites in Old Drift Lodge in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

Jessica White, Wild Horizons Digital Marketing Assistant, says construction has started and the star beds will be elevated on a platform next to the rooms.

“All the suites are placed along the banks of the Zambezi and this vantage point will give guests an even more spectacular view.” The four-poster beds will have a mosquito net, the only thing between guests and a magnificent view of the Milky Way, she says. “The star beds are adjacent to the suites so that guests can safely and easily access the bathrooms, the ice machine, the mini bar, the coffee station, and anything else they may require.”

Wild Horizons expects the new additions to be complete by March. The premium star bed suites can be booked on the online booking platform, accessible from the Old Drift Lodge website.

The lodge is located within a private wilderness concession in the Zambezi National Park, just seven kilometres upstream from the Victoria Falls. It is owned and managed by Wild Horizons, who also owns and operates The Elephant Camp, The Wallow Lodge and The Lookout Café.
