Vietnam Airlines launches new payment option

Vietnam Airlines’ passengers can now pay for flights using a combination of cash and Lotusmiles.

The option is available for Lotusmiles members who purchase tickets on the website or at its ticket offices.

From 2 000 miles per passenger per flight, members can use miles to pay for either part or all of the cost of a flight operated by the carrier (not including taxes, fees, and additional costs). The value of the miles used for the payment depends on the time of purchase, departure date, itinerary and booking class.

Additionally, Lotusmiles members can use cash and miles to buy a ticket for an accompanying passenger if they share a reservation code, select the seat in advance and purchase checked baggage during the payment process.

The airline is working to extend this payment method to its mobile app.
