Virgin Australia plans to operate a daily return service between Sydney and Hong Kong from the middle of this year, subject to the relevant approvals.
Flight VA89 will depart from Sydney at 10h00, arriving in Hong Kong at 17h40. Return flight VA88 will depart Hong Kong at 19h50, and arrive in Sydney at 07h10 the following morning.
The flight will be operated with an Airbus A330-200, featuring Virgin’s award-winning business class, ‘The Business’.
“The new Sydney-Hong Kong service will link two global destinations and will allow Virgin Australia to further access the fastest growing and most valuable Australian inbound market, China, with our alliance partner Hong Kong Airlines,” said Virgin Australia Group ceo, John Borghetti.
The service will connect with Virgin Atlantic Airways flights from Hong Kong to London.
