Virgin Voyages has partnered with the World Poker Tour (WPT) to deliver the first permanent poker room on a cruise ship. It’s named the WPT at Sea Poker Room and it’s onboard the Scarlet Lady.
Guests on Scarlet Lady, which offers four- and five-night cruises departing from Miami, can now take part in a world-class poker experience on every sailing.
The venue offers eight custom poker tables staffed with professional dealers, incorporating beginner training, cash games, satellite bets and WPT Prize Package tournaments with buy-ins ranging from US$80 (R1 472) to US$320 (R5 887).
The US$320 buy-in main event will be held during each sailing and, based on the number of participants, may award a WPT prize package of US$5 000 (R91 990) for any future voyage or WPT event.
