Air France-KLM, in collaboration with Groupe ADP (Airports of Paris), introduced a priority pass system this month for passengers with tight connections at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Passengers with connections below a certain threshold, specific to their connection and the distance between their arrival and departure terminals, automatically receive a ‘Short Connection Pass’.
On arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the passenger receives an SMS and email informing them that, due to the short time available to reach the boarding gate of their next flight, they are eligible for priority access at security checks and border control.
The message will soon also be sent via a notification on the Air France mobile app and a WhatsApp message.
When the passenger arrives at security checks and border control, their boarding passes are scanned and Groupe ADP’s customer service staff are automatically notified of the short connection. They are then offered priority access.
“The goal is to minimise processing time and enable customers to reach their boarding gate within the allotted time,” Air France-KLM said in a statement.
The Short Connection Pass is available to passengers of all nationalities connecting via Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
