Air Madagascar suspends JNB flights

Air Madagascar has suspended its twice-weekly service to Johannesburg from Antananarivo, effective January 8.

Flights have been removed from booking systems, effective December 3.

Air Madagascar will operate all scheduled flights until January 7.

For customers who have finalised bookings on flights scheduled after this date, the airline will propose rerouting options or refund possibilities, Air Madagascar said in a statement.

“The resumption of the Antananarivo-Johannesburg flights in June 2019 was aimed at revitalising the regional market of the national airline.

“Air Madagascar continues to believe in the real potential of the South Africa market and will resume its flights once conditions are met for an optimal service with an aircraft whose capacity is more suited to the demand,” the airline said.
