Disney to open animation-inspired experiences

Walt Disney World Resort has revealed a brand-new collection of animation-inspired experiences that will open on September 14 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios near Orlando.

The Magic of Disney Animation in the new Animation Courtyard area is designed to look like the Walt Disney Studios based in California. The collection of experiences will feature playful and interactive moments based on the animation process.

‘Drawn to Wonderland’ is an immersive indoor playground inspired by the original ‘Alice in Wonderland’ concept art.

At ‘Off the Page!’ guests can meet some of their characters such as Mulan, Rapunzel, Chip n’ Dale, Donald and Daisy, Goofy and Stitch. Guests will find photo opportunities with characters in animation-themed areas like story, layout, hand-drawn animation, computer animation, lighting and effects.

Guests of all ages can discover their inner artist in ‘Olaf Draws!’ where Disney Animation artists will guide guests through recorded tips, techniques, and stories from inside the studio.

An art gallery will also be filled with artwork featuring Disney Animation characters, with new animations created exclusively for attraction. At Once Upon A Studio Theater guests can enjoy the Emmy Award-winning short, ‘Once Upon A Studio’.
