AIR Madagascar has
ceased direct operations
between Johannesburg
and Antananarivo until
further notice.
“The decision was
taken after careful
economic consideration
and route profitability
analysis,” the airline said
in a statement. “We are
suspending non-profitable
routes within our network
until further notice.”
The airline would be in
negotiations with other
carriers servicing the
route to ensure that
passengers who had
been ticketed were either
still able to travel or
refunded for purchased
tickets, said the
statement.
