Air Peace resumes JNB-LOS service

Nigerian carrier Air Peace resumed flights from Lagos to Johannesburg on Sunday, October 9, after a 47-day suspension that it said was due to delays in South African visas being issued to Nigerian travellers. The airline also cited an aviation fuel shortage and a difficult foreign exchange environment as more reasons for the suspension.

Air Peace notified the trade at the beginning of its flight suspension back in August.

Flight P47563 now departs Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 02h30 on Thursdays and arrives at OR Tambo International Airport at 09h30. Flight P47564 departs JNB at 11h30 and arrives at LOS at 16h30 on Sundays.

Air Peace will operate the flights with an E195-E2 aircraft.

“The schedules are now live on our website/mobile app, and you can now book your flights to South Africa. We look forward to having you on board,” Air Peace said in a statement.

Air Peace began flying from Lagos to Johannesburg on December 19, 2020, according to Simple Flying. Its only competitor in direct flights between the two cities is SAA.
