Air travel round up: Air Côte d'Ivoire to launch Paris flights

Air Côte d'Ivoire is preparing to launch a non-stop service between Abidjan and Paris on September 18.

The flights will operate daily using the airline’s new A330-900neo aircraft.

According to AeroRoutes, the flight schedule is as follows.

Flight HF176 will depart Abidjan at 14h30 and arrive in Paris at 23h00. The return flight HF177 will depart Paris at 08h00 and arrive in Abidjan at 12h30.

Air Peace to fly to Brazil

Air Peace will introduce a non-stop service between Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo, beginning November 2025.

Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The flights follow a bilateral air services agreement signed in Brazil by Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho.

BA to drop Gatwick-Las Vegas flights

British Airways will discontinue its non-stop service from London Gatwick to Las Vegas next year.

According to Simple Flying, the seasonal flights will end on October 25 and will not return next year for the Northern hemisphere summer schedule.

The decision was based on reduced demand for travel to the US and is also part of a larger network restructuring for summer 2026.

Lufthansa takes delivery of Allegris-fitted Dreamliner

Lufthansa took delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner equipped with the new Allegris cabin in Frankfurt on August 30.

The aircraft will begin operating on intra-European flights from Frankfurt and then be introduced on flights from Frankfurt to Toronto in mid-October

The Allegris cabin introduces updated interiors across all classes, including individual suites in business class. As soon as the certification process for Allegris business class for the Dreamliners is complete, the seats will be made available for booking.

Lufthansa has ordered 29 Boeing 787-9s. In total, the airline expects to have 78 modern long-haul aircraft with Allegris on board in the next few years.

Air France unveils new E190 cabin

On September 1, Air France inaugurated the first flight operated by an Embraer 190 equipped with a new travel cabin.

The E190 now has 110 new seats. The seats are 46cm wide and feature a tray table, optimised storage space, comfortable fold-up armrests and a coat hook. The headrest is height and side adjustable.

USB A and C ports are available for recharging their devices, including laptops. A double cup holder has also been integrated.

From October 2025, customers in business class will have an empty seat next to them.

During their flight, passengers can access ultra high-speed Wi-Fi, free of charge, by connecting to their Flying Blue account.
