Ethiopian Airlines is increasing flights to Abuja from October 28, adding three weekly flights to its daily operations.
The new flights will operate on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and will depart Addis Ababa at 16h30 and arrive in Abuja at 19h25.
The daily flight remains unchanged and will continue to depart Addis Ababa at 09h25.
EgyptAir moves to JFK Terminal One
EgyptAir has entered a long-term strategic partnership with New York’s JFK airport to move its operations to the airport’s new Terminal One.
From next year, EgyptAir will transition its non-stop daily service from JFK to Terminal One.
EgyptAir joins other airlines at the new terminal, including Air France, KLM, Etihad, Turkish Airlines, Gulf Air, and Qatar Airways.
EK launches Premium Economy on four routes
Emirates will introduce new and retrofitted aircraft with Premium Economy class on routes to Amman, Mumbai, Muscat and Bahrain.
The enhanced A380s, Boeing 777s and latest A350 aircraft will operate on the following schedules:
- Flights EK903 and EK904 to and from Amman will operate daily with a four-class A380 with refreshed interiors, including Premium Economy, from October 26.
- Mumbai will receive a retrofitted Boeing 777 on flights EK504 and EK505 starting October 26, on 22 weekly flights.
- From October 30, Emirates will offer a new A350 Premium Economy experience on all nine weekly flights to Muscat, via flights EK862 and EK863 on Thursdays and Saturdays.
- Emirates will also introduce an additional retrofitted Boeing 777 to Bahrain on its EK833 and EK834 services every Thursday from December 4. The aircraft will have signature cabins, including Premium Economy and a refreshed business class.
BA ups flights to summer destinations
British Airways is boosting flights from London Gatwick and Heathrow to various destinations for its 2026 summer schedule.
- Bangkok: The airline will operate year-round flights from London Gatwick to Bangkok, upgrading its previous winter-only schedule. In summer 2026, services to and from Bangkok will operate three times per week and six times per week during the winter.
- New York: The New York flight to JFK will now operate exclusively from London Heathrow. The airline will operate nine flights from Heathrow to New York.
- Bahrain: The airline will offer a daily service from Heathrow to Bahrain.
- Saudi Arabia: Jeddah flights will increase to five weekly and Riyadh to 14 per week.
- Qatar: British Airways will now fly to Doha 14 times per week.
