Qantas is updating its frequent flyer programme with changes to how members will earn and retain their loyalty status.
The changes will be introduced progressively from later this year and include:
- Earning status credits on the ground – Additional ways for members to earn other than flying, including from Qantas credit cards and various programme partners.
- Status Credit roll over – Tiered members can roll over up to 50% of their excess Status Credits (which currently reset) from one membership year to the next.
- Enhanced tier benefits – An additional lounge invitation each membership year for Silver members, alongside new on-the-ground vouchers and discounts for all higher tiers.
- Removing programme complexity – Retiring overlapping sub-programmes including Points Club and Green Tier.
- An improved digital experience – a new search tool on the Qantas website to help members find international Classic Reward seats on Qantas and partner airlines.
