Air Zimbabwe has returned to the GDS after signing a multi-year agreement with Travelport, making its fares and schedules available to travel agencies worldwide for the first time in more than a decade.
Travelport-connected agencies will be able to access the airline's content through Travelport+, allowing them to search, compare and book Air Zimbabwe flights via their existing booking systems.
The agreement follows Air Zimbabwe's announcement last year that it planned to rejoin global ticketing and codesharing platforms after settling outstanding debts with international service providers.
"This agreement makes our content available to travel agencies around the world for the first time in over a decade and represents a strategic step in strengthening our international presence," said Air Zimbabwe CEO, Edmund Makona.
