KLM Launches new services
KLM launched a scheduled service between Amsterdam and
Santiago, Chile, on February 2. The ights operate on Tuesdays,
Thursdays and Sundays and the return ights operate on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays. Both ights operate via Buenos Aires.
The ights are operated by a B777-300 with 33 passengers in
business class and 390 passengers in economy. KLM will also
launch a new twice-daily ight from Amsterdam to Turin, on May 26.
ET increases commission
ETHIOPIAN Airlines is increasing its commission from 1,01% to
4,01% for bookings up to June 30. The increased commission is for
all bookings made and paid for in that period.
Qantas updates EMD implementation
QANTAS'S EMD implementation will include EMD-S (Stand-alone)
payments such as group deposits, ticketing payments to the QIC,
change and other service fees, as well as EMD-A (Associated)
for Advance Seat Selection. EMD-S for SA travel agents will be
available across the GDSs, starting March 4. From April 3, the
collection of change fees on EMD-S will be mandatory
