Airlink has added frequencies between Johannesburg OR Tambo and Maputo from April 1.

  • 4Z270 departs Johannesburg at 06h15, arrives in Maputo at 07h10, Monday to Friday; return flight 4Z271 departs Maputo at 07h40, arrives in Johannesburg at 08h50;
  • 4Z272 departs Johannesburg at 13h45, arrives in Maputo 14h40 daily. Return flight 4Z273 departs Maputo at 15h15 and arrives in Johannesburg at 16h25;
  • 4Z274 departs Johannesburg at 17h00, arrives in Maputo at 17h55, Monday to Friday plus Sunday. Return flight 4Z275 departs Maputo at 18h25, arrives in Johannesburg at 19h35.

The airline has also added frequencies to Lubumbashi, DRC, from April 1. That schedule is now:
4Z021 departs Johannesburg at 10h10, arrives in Lubumbashi at 12h40 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Return flight 4Z022 departs Lubumbashi at 13h35 and arrives in Johannesburg 16h15.

 “Since launching services linking Johannesburg with Maputo and with Lubumbashi last October and November respectively, we have seen a steady increase in passenger traffic on those two routes.  This reflects an uptick in trade and economic activity between South Africa, Mozambique and the DR Congo. By increasing our schedule on these routes we will cater for the increased demand while providing more choices to customers wanting to travel to destinations across South Africa and throughout Southern Africa,” said Airlink md and ceo, Rodger Foster.
