Kruger camps get new restaurants

SANParks has appointed new restaurant operators at selected camps in Kruger National Park following the expiry of previous concession agreements and a competitive tender process.

At Lower Sabie, the former Mugg & Bean will reopen as Sabie River Café. Pretoriuskop’s Wimpy will become Le Lapeng Burgers and Grill and Berg-en-Dal’s Tindlovu Restaurant will be transformed into Eziko Eatery.

Cattle Baron at Skukuza will also undergo refurbishment to refresh its look and feel.

Temporary dining facilities with limited menus will be available during the refurbishment periods to maintain service.

SANParks said the appointments are part of efforts to improve visitor experiences and invest in tourism facilities. The upgraded facilities are expected to be unveiled in the coming months.
