Airlink will add a third weekly flight on its Johannesburg-Zanzibar route from December 15 to January 13, 2027 for the peak summer holiday season.
The additional flights will operate on Tuesdays, departing Johannesburg at 12h00 and arriving in Zanzibar at 16h35. The return flight will depart Zanzibar at 12h00 the following day and arrive in Johannesburg at 14h55.
Last week, Airlink launched twice-weekly flights between Johannesburg and Zanzibar, operating on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The route is operated by the carrier’s new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, making Zanzibar the first international destination served by its new flagship aircraft.
The airline will also launch a new non-stop service between Cape Town and Zanzibar, from October 3.
