SITA is installing its Scan&Fly self-service bag drop for LATAM Airlines passengers at 18 airports in five countries in Latin America.
Passengers can now check in their bags in less than 40 seconds at the eight kiosks that are already up and running at Brasilia International Airport in Brazil.
The remaining 97 bag-drop units will be gradually introduced at other airports over the coming months, with the majority of the 105 units in Brazil.
Benefits will include reduced queues, increased terminal capacity and lower operational costs.
