Amadeus has launched an enhanced version of its web services solution, Amadeus Travel API.
This NDC-enabled solution is intended to give travel agencies worldwide access to new content and fares from airlines connected to the solution via an NDC connectivity.
Agencies set to become early adopters of the solution include BCD Travel and American Express Global Business Travel.
Amadeus Travel API, which integrates with travel agencies’ existing systems and allows them to build their own customised travel booking applications, will gradually be rolled out globally. The solution will:
- Allow access to new airline content and fares alongside traditional content.
- Simplify workflow of shop, order and pay.
- Allow for the cross-selling of ancillary services and upselling of branded fares.
- Allow for the changing and cancellation functionalities to include refund, void, or exchange options.
- Allow agencies to work across multiple interfaces.
