 Rodney Bull has been
appointed gm of Holiday
Inn Sandton. Previously he
was gm at Protea Imperial,
Pietermaritzburg.
 Avis Rent a Car
Southern Africa
recently appointed
Thato Bokaba
new national
sales manager –
government. Thato
will be responsible for leading
the sales team responsible
for developing and managing
the government business for
Avis at national, provincial
and municipal levels. She
has extensive experience in
sales, having previously held
the regional sales position
for the Northern Province and
sales manager position for
telesales.
 Horst Frehse,
(pictured) current
gm of The
Twelves Apostles
Hotel and Spa
will become the
new executive
director for the hotel while
deputy manager, Michael Nel
takes over as gm.
Horst will promote and
develop the business side
of The Twelve Apostles and
provide some support and
assistance with sales efforts
for sister properties: The
Oyster Box in Umhlanga and
Bushmans Kloof Wilderness
Reserve & Wellness Retreat in
the Cederberg.
He has worked in hotels in
Hamburg, Munich, Geneva,
Namibia, Cape Town,
Johannesburg and Paarl before
joining the Twelve Apostles in
December 2010.
Michael started as a
reservations agent at the
Rubens Hotel in London and
worked in various hotels within
the Red Carnation family in
the UK before joining The
Twelve Apostles as deputy
manager in October 2006.
