Japan Airlines, a member of the oneworld alliance, has agreed a codeshare co-operation with Cathay Dragon, an affiliate of Cathay Pacific Airways.
The codeshare agreement includes three routes between Japan and Hong Kong, and five routes between Hong Kong and Asia on flights operated by Cathay Dragon.
From May 29, JAL will place its code on the following routes, subject to regulatory approvals.
- Routes between Hong Kong and Haneda (HND), Fukuoka (FUK), Okinawa (OKA)
- Routes between Hong Kong and Bengaluru (BLR), Kolkata (CCU), Dhaka (DAC), Penang (PEN), Chiang Mai (CNX)
With the new agreement, Fukuoka and Okinawa will be added to JAL’s codeshare network between Japan and Hong Kong, and customers will gain access to Hong Kong from seven airports in Japan. Booking for these new codeshare flights was planned to be available from May 22.
