BA Comair launches seat selection fee

PASSENGERS travelling
on flights operated by BA
Comair now need to pay a
fee to preselect their seat
at the time of booking.
The cost varies according
to the route. For flights
shorter than 90 minutes,
the fee starts at R64.
For flights longer than 90
minutes, the charge is
between R80 and R144.
This new facility is
currently live only on
the airline’s website. For
passengers who are already
booked on a BA Comair
flight, agents can visit the
Manage My Booking portal
on the website and preselect
and pay for their
client’s seat before check-in.
During the 24-hour online
check-in window, agents and
passengers can select their
seats at no extra charge.
