Bushfires continue to rage in New South Wales, impacting popular tourist areas and travel in the area.
Qantas has issued a statement to say that the fires have disrupted the travel arrangements for a number of Qantas pax travelling to and from Sydney and Newcastle. Newcastle Airport, a regional hub about 175km north of Sydney, has reopened after a nearby bushfire forced its closure and evacuation.
Destination NSW has recommended that visitors check the latest bushfire information before travelling in the area as there may be road closures or restricted access to some areas. Info can be found here.
