Carnival Cruise Line has implemented a fleetwide curfew for passengers aged 17 years and under.
The policy states: “Guests 17 years of age and under who are not accompanied by an adult in their travelling party, 21 years of age or older, must be clear of all public areas by 01h00 each evening unless involved in a Club 02 or Circle C teen activity.”
The curfew has been put in place with immediate effect, reports Travel Pulse.
According to the cruise line, the reason for this new curfew was an increase in events where physical altercations involving minors had been reported.
Minor passengers who break the curfew will be subject to investigation, which may result in a warning, disembarkation upon arrival at the next port, or even banishment from the line, depending on the severity of the event. And minors will be removed from the ship along with their parents or guardians, who will have to disembark with them.
