Carnival Corporation and Royal Caribbean Cruises have announced joint management of the Saint Lucia cruise pier and the construction of a new cruise port on the island.
The companies signed a memorandum of understanding with the support of the government of Saint Lucia.
The new agreement requires that Carnival and Royal Caribbean share management responsibilities of the current cruise pier and terminal facilities at the Port of Castries, Saint Lucia.
The joint venture also serves as official announcement on behalf of both cruise line operators about the construction of a new cruise port in Vieux Fort in the south of the island.
