Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for Carnival Tropicale, its newest ship and the fifth and final vessel in the line’s Excel class, according to Cruise Industry News.
The LNG-powered ship will accommodate 6 000 guests and is scheduled to enter service on April 15, 2028. Following its delivery, it will homeport year-round in Galveston, Texas.
Carnival Tropicale will operate four-, five-, six- and eight-day itineraries to the Caribbean, The Bahamas and Mexico. Ports and destinations will include Celebration Key, RelaxAway at Half Moon Cay, Isla Tropicale, Puerta Maya, Progreso and Nassau.
New onboard attractions will include Sunsation Point, a multi-deck family entertainment area, and Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, which will feature six waterslides. Other facilities will include a redesigned Fairway 66 Mini Golf course, sports courts, the Treehouse Adventure Trail and new arcade spaces.
The ship will also introduce new dining venues, including Uku Lei Lei, serving Hawaiian-inspired cuisine with Asian influences; Fetaccine, combining Greek and Italian flavours; and Emeril’s Coastal Seafood.
