Cathay Pacific has completed its acquisition of Hong Kong Express Airways.
The low-cost carrier was now a wholly owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific and would remain a stand-alone airline to serve a niche value market segment, Cathay said in a statement. There will also be no change to HK Express’s business model.
The acquisition will see HK Express offer more value fares and destinations, according to the statement.
