Due to the conflict in the Middle East, multiple cruise lines have cancelled their sailings departing from Qatar and the UAE.
MSC Cruises
In a notice published on Monday, MSC Cruises announced that MSC Euribia would remain in the port of Dubai.
“Our highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of our guests and crew. In line with the guidance of regional and international security authorities, MSC Euribia will remain in the port of Dubai until further notice,” said MSC Cruises.
The cruise line announced the cancellation of upcoming MSC Euribia cruises departing Dubai on March 7, March 8 and March 11.
Celestyal Cruises
Celestyal Cruises announced the cancellation of multiple cruises that were to depart from Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The Celestyal Journey’s March 2 departure from Dubai was cancelled. Additionally, the ship’s Desert Days itinerary been temporarily paused and the ship will remain in Doha port until March 7.
“Subject to operating conditions, we plan to resume our schedules Desert Days itinerary. Guests currently on board may choose to remain on Journey until March 7 or disembark in Doha in the interim,” said the cruise line.
The Celestyal Discovery cruise scheduled to depart from Abu Dhabi on March 2 was also cancelled. Celestyal Discovery is currently alongside in Dubai.
“At present, in line with instructions from local authorities, we are unable to disembark guests. We are working closely with the relevant authorities and will begin disembarkation in Dubai as soon as permission is granted. Once disembarkation is approved, we will provide support to assist guests with transfers from the ship to Abu Dhabi Airport,” said Celestyal Cruises.
