Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will open to the public on December 11, celebrating art from the 1960s to the present.
The museum will feature modern and contemporary art, with works by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Exhibitions will span a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, moving image, and new media.
The museum is in Saadiyat Cultural District, joining other museums and cultural institutions including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi.
