Botswana-based operator, Desert & Delta Safaris, has acquired a new lodge, Nxamaseri Island Lodge, expanding its portfolio of lodges and camps to nine.

The lodge has eight suites comprising five twin/double thatched chalets, one honeymoon chalet with a private viewing deck, and a larger chalet with a double bed and single bed – ideal for families – as well as a family chalet with a double bed and two single beds for larger families, all under the shade of huge Jackalberry trees and wild date palms. All rooms have en-suite showers, hand basins and toilet facilities.

The chalets are set on a raised teak platform connected to the main area. Nxamaseri is located in between two Unesco World Heritage Sites, Tsodilo Hills and the Okavango Delta, making it the closest property to explore Tsodilo Hills.

“Our goal is to encourage international and regional travellers to explore the incredible cultural heritage we offer in Botswana in a manner that is environmentally and ecologically responsible and sustainable,” said James Wilson, Marketing Director of Desert & Delta Safaris.

Nxamaseri Island Lodge is accessible by Safari Air charter flights or self-drive from Maun or the Namibian side.
