EK re-accommodates all pax

Emirates has today announced a new re-accommodation policy for all its passengers affected by the cancellation of flights to and from South Africa, from January 16-28, 2021.

This was after Travel News reported yesterday that the airline had a re-accommodation policy in place only for passengers with bookings for January 15-18, leaving those with bookings from January 19-28 without assistance.

The airline now says:

1.     All passengers booked and ticketed to travel January 16 to January 28, can now be re-routed to any Emirates gateway at no additional cost.

2.     All tickets may be re-routed to any Emirates gateway with an additional interline flight to the end destination (as originally booked) at no additional cost, subject to availability of interline partner flights/schedules.

3.     A full refund will be made for unutilised tickets, as per COVID waiver policy.

4.  Re-bookings for departures after January 28, 2021, maybe made at no additional cost, as per COVID waiver policy.

Emirates says all rebookings/re-issues must be done by the Emirates office. The airline outlines the procedure to be followed in its Travelinfo pages.
