Emirates will reduce its Dubai-Perth frequencies from two to one daily from October 25.
The remaining flight EK420 will depart Dubai at 02h45 and arrive in Perth at 17h20.
The loss of flight EK424 will result in a reduction in convenient connections for South Africans travelling to Perth via Dubai from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
Of Johannesburg’s three daily flights to Dubai, only EK762 will offer a convenient connection (stopover within four hours).
Of Cape Town’s two daily flights to Dubai, only EK771 will offer a connection.
Durban’s single daily flight to Dubai will no longer offer convenient connections to Perth.
