Ethiopian Airlines is now selling tickets for Addis Ababa-Atlanta flights, which begin on May 16.
There will be four flights a week using a 315-seat Boeing 787-9 with 30 seats in business class and 285 in economy class.
Because of the elevation of Addis Ababa, there will be a technical stop in Dublin on the way to the US. The total flight time westbound will be 18 hours but the return flight will be direct and take 14 hours and 15 minutes.
The schedule is as follows:
ET518 departs Addis Ababa at 22h00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, via Dublin, to arrive at Atlanta at 09h00 the following day.
ET519 departs from Atlanta at 10h35 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrives in Addis Ababa at 07h50 the next day.
