Eurostar to launch London-Amsterdam route

Eurostar will introduce a direct service between London and Amsterdam on April 30.

Currently, passengers to Amsterdam clear immigration and security in Brussels before connecting to the train to Amsterdam. The new direct service will save an hour on the journey time.

Trains depart London at 07h16 (excluding Sundays), 11h04 and 17h16 (excluding Saturdays), and arrive in Amsterdam at 12h11, 16h11 and 22h11.

The return service departs Amsterdam at 07h48 (excluding Sundays) and 18h48 (excluding Saturdays), arriving in London at 10h57 and 21h57.

Tickets go on sale on February 11, with fares starting at £35 (R672) each way.
