The trail follows a central route through the property, and offers individuals and families, a fun way to explore the estate.
The trail is set for completion this month, to coincide with the opening of the upgraded Sports & Leisure Centre. 20 Mountain Bikes will be available for hire at the Sports & Leisure Centre, which will be open from 06h00 to 21h00 each day. Cyclists will also be able to reserve their bikes the evening before.
The new Sports & Leisure Centre will offer guests a one-stop-shop for the whole. Amenities include: a state-of-the-art gymnasium, indoor and outdoor swimming pool with a poolside café, a cinema, ‘Kidz Club’ and a chillout zone.
The trail starts in front of the Fancourt Clubhouse, then winds down to Bramble Hill and then over a scenic path across part of The Links golf course. It then follows a bush trail for approximately 800 metres of rougher terrain, leads back to Bramble Hill and ends off at the Fancourt Clubhouse.
“Vitality, relaxation and wellness is integral to the Fancourt guest experience, and the new mountain bike trail will provide a fun and sporty way for guests to get their hearts racing while working off some calories,” said sales and marketing director of Fancourt, Carl Reinders.
