NCL to revamp two ships

Norwegian Cruise Line will take two of its Jewel-Class ships out of service next year for renovations.

In the spring of 2026, Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem will enter dry dock for upgrades. The Norwegian Jade is scheduled for revitalisation from April 19 to May 4, 2026, and Norwegian Gem will get a refresh from April 24 to May 11, 2026.

Both ships will be upgraded to include new adults-only outdoor Vibe Beach Clubs, which will replace their additional sundecks on deck 14. The Clubs will feature a hot tub, 54 new premium lounging chairs and seven new cabanas that can accommodate two guests at a time.

Norwegian Jade will also get a Starbucks on deck seven.

After its renovations, Norwegian Jade will sail seven-day Alaska cruises from Vancouver, Canada, and Whittier, Alaska. Norwegian Gem will sail a variety of Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises from Venice and Rome.
