Club Travel has responded to the article ‘ITC launches ‘tickets-only’ product’ carried in TNW’s April 13 issue.
Franchise director, Jo Fraser, told TNW: “Southern Empire Travel is an ITC of Club Travel. They joined us on
February 16. They do not hold an Iata licence and they issue all tickets through us. If they had an Iata licence
then their current ITC contract is null and void as we have not registered their licence under the Club Group.
We would not entertain having them on our books as a non-branded Iata agency, on-selling to ITCs. I have
never heard of the Trade Alliance Group and will investigate this as a matter of urgency.”
TNW apologises for any misunderstanding regarding Club Travel’s affiliation with Southern Empire Travel.
