Gauteng Tourism will provide citizens and visitors to the province with a vibrant experience in December with #GPFestiveSummer.
Among the notable events are the Makhelwane Festival from December 13-15 at Poka Street, Orlando West in Soweto, and the annual DJ Shimza One-Man Show Festival that will kick-off on Christmas Day in Tembisa. Set to wrap up the year as the city’s pre-eminent New Year’s Eve event is the world-renowned Afropunk Festival on December 30-31 at Constitution Hill.
Also on offer is a tour of Johannesburg’s most famous landmarks with the open-top City Sightseeing Red Bus, an opportunity to cool off at the Happy Island Waterpark in Muldersdrift or a visit to the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.
