Hahn Air extends insolvency insurance

10 Jan 2018 - by Dorine Reinstein

HAHN Air has extended

its comprehensive free-ofcharge

Securtix protection

to all tickets issued

by the airline’s Group

Department. Securtix is

the airline’s insolvency

insurance coverage, which

ensures that passengers

and travel agents will be

refunded in the event of a

ight cancellation due to

insolvency of the operating

airline.

Previously, only tickets

issued through the GDS

were covered. Sabine

Ullrich, Hahn Air’s director of

corporate communications,

says the airline launched

Securtix in 2012 to protect

travel agency clients. “We

have decided to extend this

free service to group tickets,

which are handled by our

Group Department.”

Hahn Air guarantees to

refund the unused part of

each ticket issued by its

Group Department and

provides reimbursement

for any additional costs in

the event of insolvency.

The reimbursement covers

the difference between the

initial ticket price and the

new ticket price, meals

and hotel accommodation

as well as extras, such as

transfers and phone calls.
