Hilton Durban undergoes major renovation

Hilton Durban in KwaZulu Natal is undergoing an extensive refurbishment, with an investment of R150 million.

As part of the first phase of the renovation, the entrance and lobby will be overhauled, with work expected to be completed by early April. A restaurant will also be added to the property.“We are keeping the name of the restaurant under wraps for now, but I can say it will be a global brand not yet represented in South Africa,” Markus Fritz, Hilton Durban gm is quoted as saying in The Mercury.

Following the initial phase, the hotel’s rooms will be upgraded.

According to the hotel, the refurbishment will not impact the hotel’s operation. The front desk and lobby café will be moved to different venues and function as normal.
