Hong Kong International Airport will open its newly extended Terminal 1 on November 29.
The terminal now has 48 new check-in counters, bringing the total number in the terminal to 369.
The number of smart check-in kiosks will also increase to over 100 at the extended departure level.
The arrivals hall has new seating, a lost and found office, and a baggage storage service. Two baggage reclaim carrousels have also been added and will be fully operational in phases.
Terminal 2 will be decommissioned temporarily to undergo scheduled expansion.
T2 will then become a full-service terminal providing both arrival and departure services when it reopens in 2024.
