Hotel group goes 'up the Tree'

SINCE taking over Ubizane Wildlife Reserve in November last year, the Three Cities Group has completed major renovations and upgrades of two of the three lodges on the reserve.
The well-known, 24-unit luxury Zululand Tree Lodge has undergone extensive construction and now boasts a new lounge, reception area, bar and observation decks overlooking a watering hole and swimming pool.
Large wooden decks and thatch give these public areas a tree house feel which is complemented by the Afro-colonial style decor.
Zululand Safari Lodge, offering 24 self-catering thatched rondavels, also underwent refurbishments to include African-inspired decor.
Construction of a conference facility and shop is currently under way.
Marketing manager of the Three Cities Group, Linda Sparks, says the Zululand Bush Lodge is scheduled for refurbishment later this year.
