With 2023 being the year of Picasso in France and Spain, Anantara hotels in those countries have introduced Picasso-themed experiences to showcase the legendary artist.

Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavís Marbella Resort in Málaga has launched its immersive experience, ‘Luxury Retreat: A Palatial Stay Inspired by Picasso’, available until December 30. The two-person, two-night stay includes a Deluxe Room, Picasso welcome amenities, daily breakfast, massages and access to Anantara Spa, an exclusive Picasso Dining by Design experience, as well as a Málaga Picasso tour.

The tour takes travellers to historical Picasso locations in Málaga, including the Picasso Museum, the artist’s birthplace at the Plaza de la Merced, the home of the Picasso Foundation at Málaga City Council, as well as Picasso’s favourite restaurant in Alcazaba.

Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel in Nice has launched its ‘Picasso-Inspired Path – Celebrating 50 Years of Picasso Legacy’ package, combining guided tours, a hands-on workshop and an absinthe tasting.

Tour outings include a visit to the Romanesque Chapel in Vallauris, which houses Picasso’s famous War and Peace murals, and the Musée Picasso  where visitors can try screen printing on Picasso’s original equipment and absinthe-tasting in Antibes.
