Intrepid Travel is introducing 32 new trips across 15 countries in Europe from May next year, with new alpine hikes, local-led experiences and cultural journeys through lesser-known cities.
Two new destinations will be introduced to Intrepid’s programme:
- A five-day trip of the Faroe Islands – guests explore coastal villages, hike sea cliffs, visit farms, and enjoy home-cooked meals.
- Six days hiking in Madeira – The hike includes views of the island’s volcanic landscapes and beaches. Taste local produce and fresh seafood and visit a traditional winery.
Other highlights include:
- A nine-day rail journey through northern Norway and Sweden, travelling through Abisko National Park and stopping at remote villages and outposts.
- Hike, bike and kayak in Norway for seven days, cycling around Lake Lovatnet, hiking to Briksdal Glacier and kayaking Nærøyfjord.
- An eight-day hike in the Albanian Alps, hiking the Volusnica Ridge and crossing Montenegro’s Prokletije National Park into Albania’s Theth village on foot.
- A seven-day hike, bike and raft in Croatia and Montenegro, kayaking around the Elaphiti Islands and exploring the mountains of Montenegro’s Durmitor National Park.
- Seven- and eight-day family trips in Slovenia and Greece.
